My entire professional life is built around a principle: working hard to take advantage of opportunities. I have been very fortunate to have nearly two decades of successful media production experience. I am well versed in many areas such as still photography, video/media production, non-linear editing, research, project management, subject interviewing, remote broadcast operations, field producing, footage archiving and talent relations.
As a photographer, I started my journey while in college in the early 2000’s. I bought a digital camera on a whim and quickly realized how much I enjoyed capturing the world one frame at a time. Over the years as I experimented more with light, travel and different techniques, I began to understand that my passion for photography could become something of a professional pursuit. I kept working and developing my skill set until the summer of 2017 arrived and it was time to put my beloved hobbyist skill experience work for an emerging group of clients.
As a media production professional, I took a more traditional path. After graduating college with a Television Production degree, I served as Associate Producer of the NBA’s Boston Celtics television broadcast for CSN New England (now NBC Sports Boston) from 2004 – 2017. During this time I won 6 New England Emmy Awards, as well as earning 12 other nominations. In this role, I learned countless lessons about broadcast production, video editing, working in the field as a producer and of course collaborating with a tremendously talented team of co-workers.
In 2013, I was the writer and producer of the New England Emmy Nominated “Russell in Bronze” special. This chronicled the planning, construction and placement of the Bill Russell Statue in Boston at City Hall Plaza. The documentary also examined the principles that defined Bill Russell, a man who reached the highest levels of success in his amazing life.
From 2014-16, I served as the producer for Celtics Insider, a weekly magazine-style television program. During this run, I was the producer for nearly 50 episodes and 200+ show segments. This challenge included writing scripts, location management, shoot setups, editing, social media integration and working with our talented team of reporters and production group.
In addition to working with clients along the personal, business and broadcast media spectrum, I have been a landscape and architecture photographer for the past 20 years. In 2018, AndyLevineArt.com launched. This site includes 800+ images from my fine art portfolio. I aim to provide individuals, companies and interior designers artwork to fit any project with a modern format of Metal, Canvas or Acrylic prints.
